Porridge Skills

Today Stephanie ate the entire bowl of porridge by herself. And she even used a spoon for the first few mouthfuls. After that she just used her fingers. Still, it is a start and she did only get the bottom half of her face covered in breakfast which is pretty good for a first attempt.

Mill Road Winter Fair

The fair was grand. At least it didn't rain this year and it is lovely when they close the road off for cars so that there is plenty of space to meander with the buggy. Alex decorated a hat for the hat competition and got lots of compliments.

There are more Winter Fair photos here.

I think the reviewers for the Laptop Steering Wheel Desk are having a bit of a giggle.

Only a Little Fabric Glue Used

I am trying to learn how to sew. To this end I am making myself a skirt. Yesterday Alex spotted my attempts and asked me to make her a skirt. Skirts for little girls can, thankfully, be made very quickly. There may be a bit of a quality control issue - I'm guessing it won't wash too well.

Stephanie is One Today

We celebrated Stephanie's birthday yesterday with cake, grandparents and presents. Alex was kind enough to unwrap Stephanie's presents for her and test them out to make sure they worked. What a thoughtful sister!

There may have been some chocolate consumed while making Stephanie's birthday cake.

The House of Sick Girls

This week we have all been ill. Slapped cheeks, colds, laryngitis, ear infections, spectacular puking ... that sort of thing. Thankfully the week is over and so, near enough, are the ailments. I may soon have to use the phone myself instead of delegating it all to Ian.

More Goldworthian Art

This week Alex is concentrating on the inherent contradiction of organic matter and formal distribution. Or leaves in straight lines as we more often like to think of it.

DJ Stephanie rocks the house.

Visitors

We had a great weekend when Rosie, Deirdre and Saoirse visited. Alex was delighted to see her cousin and very excited about the sleep over. I ended up unable to speak for an entire week. I'm choosing to take that as a sign of a good time.

Carolyn Visited

Ian's cousin Carolyn visited from Florida.

And Ian tried to fit into the tunnel.

The two events are only loosely linked.

I got my hair done. It is a dark brown bob. Again.
